sauerbruch hutton talk - 6. April 2021
After a brief introduction into my background as a musician, I will discuss a long, ongoing multidiciplinary project titled CONTAIN - a collaboration with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble (Hong Kong) and Ensemble Resonanz (Hamburg, Germany), composer/artist Samson Young, concert designer Folkert Uhde and dramatic advisor Elisa Erkelenz. I am charged with composition and overall music direction, algorithmic programming by Samson Young, videos and interview fragments, Folkert Uhde and Eliza Erkelenz. Planning began in 2018, with workshops in Hamburg and Hong Kong in 2019 (just before the political riots began) and was due to premiere in 2020 - but has now been rescheduled for 2022.
